This shot was taken four weeks before I left Italy. I realized that all this time I thought I haven’t really done anything my paintings and sketchbooks proved me wrong. It’s a great moment to see your work from a different perspective. I like the idea of seeing it as a collection or through the lens of my camera.

while I try to be as exact as possible when sketching, my paintings are more a free interpretation of what I see and especially hear. Art can be described in so many ways and I  still haven’t found my own final interpretation. As far as I know now, it takes a lot of time until you as an artist yourself are able to put your emotions and ideas to canvas without thinking too much about the actual outcome.
